Quality, Sustainability, and Food Safety are essential factors for the consolidation of our success.

Quality Policy

The quality of the wines we produce and food security are essential factors for the consolidation of our success. In order to continue to supply wines with high-quality standards and to continuously improve Quality Management and Food Safety, Adega Cooperativa de Redondo intends to:

• Receive and work with grapes produced in accordance with good agricultural practices;
• Provide good quality wines that are safe for the consumer;
• Encourage good hygiene practices in all production processes, from its members to the delivery of the final product;
• Seek to create good working conditions for its employees;
• Comply with the law, and in some matters establish even more demanding standards, also having special concern for all environmental aspects;
• Invest in permanent communication with all interested parties;
• Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements, as well as meet the requirements defined in agreements with the customer and exceed their expectations;
• Involve employees in the registration and appropriate treatment of non-conformities, complaints, and suggestions from customers, with a view to reducing occurrences and using them as a driver for continuous improvement;
• Aware of the challenges directly arising from the principles of its Food Security Policy, the Management of Adega Cooperativa do Redondo, C.R.L. undertakes to address those challenges by providing the equipment, facilities, and necessary training to all employees in order to guarantee the hygiene and quality of our product, as well as hygiene and safety conditions at work.

Certification

The strong commitment and dedication of Adega Cooperativa de Redondo to food quality and safety has resulted in achieving one of the most demanding food safety certification benchmarks in the world: FSSC 22000.

Environmental Sustainability

Aware of the importance of natural resources and their integration in the production of our wines, Adega Cooperativa de Redondo joined the Alentejo Wines Sustainability Programme in order to increase its efficiency in a more sustainable way. We are taking the first steps in that direction, knowing that we still have a way to go, but it is one of our priorities. Energy efficiency and efficiency in water and waste management are key matters for more sustainable production. The last investments in the bottling line and in the finished product warehouse have already been directed at achieving a reduction in energy and water consumption.

And we will continue our work with our Members.

Social Sustainability

We play a very important social role by being the largest direct non-institutional employer in the municipality, as well as generating many indirect jobs through our Associates. Within the scope of our Social Responsibility Policy, we participate and support entities and activities in the community that can contribute not only to increase the level of social well-being but also to revitalize the region and encourage people to return to the town and the municipality.
